Trip to Dandeli and Dudhsagar waterfall
It all began from Dharwad -a district in Northern karnataka. Myself and my cousin Ajit picked up 4 friends from Dharwad railway station on a very cold winter morning on 13 December. We got a bus from Dharwad bus stand to Dandeli and reached at 1.45.
We quickly dropped our luggage at a hotel and then went to a resort(jungle lodges and resort) from where we were taken in jeeps owned by Karnataka Government for river rafting at Kali river which is around 45 mins away from the resort.
We landed at the starting place of our rafting where we found few trained rafting guides. We were divided into groups of 6-10 among all the people who came there for the adventure trip. Each group was accompanied by a guide who sits at the rear end of the raft and would give commands for rowing.
A photographer will be standing at the other end of the kali river to capture the wonderful photos.
Finally we ended the rafting at the end point of this wonderful journey. The same jeep which picked us was standing on the bank to drop us back to the same resort where we boarded the jeep.
We finally reached the end of our safari with no luck of seeing any wild animal. We got down from the jeep cursing the jungle and our bad luck
We saw different types of rocks on display while we were climbing down the steps to reach the rocks. The
There were 2 caves which looked like 2 eyes of a person.
We took a lot of pics and finally came back to the driver. He took us to supa dam backwater where we had an amazing view of the river.
We finally cam back to lodges and packed up to leave to Dharwad.
We reached Dharwad at 8 pm. We slept early at our relatives home after having dinner at a restaurant.
The next day we had to get up early to catch a train from Dharwad to Londa at 6.45 am. From Londa, we boarded another train to Dudhsagar station. We had to walk on the railway track for 20 mins then we reached the bridge and the spectacular Dudhsagar waterfall.
After spending some time there, we finally came back to the bridge and had lunch. The train arrived at 5.30pm. We boarded the train back to Londa. From Londa we boarded the train back to Bangalore. Thus ended the adventure trip of 3 days.

The water rafting was an amazing experience which lasted for more than 2 hours for a distance of around 9 kms. The 90 degree flip of the raft at the last rapid current was an amazing experience where the raft would turn 90 degrees vertically and the water will hit onto our faces seated at front of the raft.

We reached our lodge in the evening and went to Basaveshwara khanavali (250m from dandeli bus stand) where we had the best of north karnataka meal.
We slept early that night since we had to get up early as we had planned to go on safari in the jungle early morning. The safari jeeps will leave at sharp 6 am from the starting point. Hardly any animal was visible except for some antlers and deer.
We then reached a view point from where we captured pics. The scenery was amazing.

Then we all were very hungry. We boarded our jeep. The driver knew what exactly to do . He stopped in a village near kulgi resort where there was a small hotel. We had very hot and delicious dosas. Never had such satisfying and tasty breakfast for the past 20 years.
We freshened ourselves to continue our journey. The driver then took us to Synthery rocks. We could see a nice water current flowing in between the rocks and the caves. The spot was very beautiful but very dangerous since the rocks were very slippery due to moisture. On fall into the river could end a life- this was what we were warned by the driver.
